Paon de Lune

A virtuoso masterpiece, the multiple-wear nature of the Paon de Lune (Moon peacock) set and its changing, varied highlights make it ideal for transformation. Is it because the peacock has so often been a source of creativity for the Maison? In any case, the challenge here was to renew the link with tradition while fully expressing its unique radiance, rarity and majesty.

To create is to remember

It was while playing with a peacock feather that the idea of the Point d’Interrogation (question mark) necklace came to Frédéric Boucheron and the head of his workshop: a necklace that never constrains, is supple, light, airy and divine!

This emblematic and ingenious creation was designed without a clasp; it is equipped with a hidden spring that allows it to curl around the neck, like a feather.

The Magician of Stones

The Paon de Lune set is a harmonious alliance of diamonds, rock crystal, aquamarine and meteorite stone.

For this set, aquamarine drops, in varied hues of sky blue with subtle blue- green highlights, are like the center of a moon-colored peacock feathers “eye”. A larger, pear-cut aquamarine delicately reflects the diamonds around it.

The Hands of Light

A Point d’Interrogation necklace following in the great Boucheron tradition, the different transformation possibilities of the Paon de Lune set make it a signature piece of the Maison.

This reinterpretation of the peacock feather motif comes to life also through the use of varying stone cuts and layering.

The Hands of Light are the masters of these extraordinary effects of movement and light, crafting them thanks to subtle effects on volume and stone assembly, with techniques that are passed on from artisan to artisan like precious secrets.

The Sparkle of Soul

In India, the peacock, symbol of strength and power, has a privileged status.

Every year in the spring, the fall of its old and growth of its new feathers are symbols of rebirth and immortality.

The workshops of the Maison Boucheron have drawn inspiration from this renewal and the eternal genius of nature to reinterpret the iconic Point d’Interrogation necklace.
